We'll evaluate those performances and make cuts throughout the evening. Finally, if you're invited to the 2nd callbacks, you'll be given some music to take home, learn, and bring back on Thursday night.

Production Manager: Niko Montelibano
Show Director: Randy Pryor

For the past 42 Christmas seasons we have produced world-class caroling groups that perform with English Handbells at theme parks, restaurants, hotels, corporate and private parties. Our quartets provide "strolling caroling," as well as perform a fun-filled show combining music, comedy and audience participation. We are always looking for people who blend together vocally, and whose appearance and personalities blend as well. Since all MIXED COMPANY personnel are always living "life in the fishbowl," a clean-cut image and positive attitude are required. Each of our quartets works as a unit all season, providing a better blend and stronger chemistry in performance. This can be hard work for our cast members, so a good work ethic and the right attitude are critical. If you have a positive attitude, like to have fun, are flexible and easy to work with, then you may be perfect for this group.

Our award-winning costumes are custom-made. We furnish our singers with their wardrobes except shoes, men's Tux shirts, and ladies' gloves.

We are casting up to 40 singers to work the 2025 holiday season from mid-November through mid-January, 2026, including Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. We are looking for Entertainers who are: Professional, Available, Punctual, and an absolute pleasure to work with. They should be: Vocally talented with the ability to blend (sight reading is a plus), Animated with excellent Stage Presence, Expressive with high Energy and Enthusiasm, and Committed to teamwork.

We Pay Our Performers Well

Why do we pay so much? Simple. We require more from our performers than anyone else - more rehearsals, more availability, more enthusiasm, the best attitudes, and, above all, an unshakable commitment to the highest quality possible.

Rehearsals

Rehearsals begin August 23rd. All cast members should attend all rehearsals and keep absences to an absolute minimum. See schedule below.

The entire cast will rehearse once a week with our Music Director. Additionally, each quartet will meet for 5 mandatory "outside rehearsals" throughout the rehearsal season. These will be scheduled with the leader of your quartet.

Availability for Performances

Scheduling conflicts need to be agreed upon at the time of casting. (We need all cast members to be available for performances all Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays in December, as well as Christmas Eve and Christmas Day!)

Christmas Variety Show

Once again, our annual Christmas Variety Show will be on the Saturday before Thanksgiving, Nov. 22, 2025, 7:00 p.m., in Cerritos. Thank you for your time. We look forward to hearing from you!

I've grown a lot over the years by being a part of Mixed Company. I've enjoyed the challenge of singing while playing English handbells - what a beautiful sound! Gaining and reciprocating the respect of my fellow talented carolers has been greatly rewarding. It's been a wonderful privilege to provide genuine holiday warmth, laughter, and kicklines to young and old, Virginias and Scrooges, crowds of two thousand and crowds of two. Congratulations on 40 years, Mixed Company!" - Jalin Hsu, Alto

"There's nothing greater to do for Christmas than to make good music with talented musicians and good friends, and then go out and make other people's Christmas!" - Eric Cajiuat, Bass

"Many caroling groups stand and sing from folders of printed music, but how challenging and fun is that? As a member of 'Tis The Season Handbell Carolers, you will work hard. But in the end, when you are out there entertaining, singing gorgeous tight harmonies, and interacting with the people, you'll suddenly realize that all the preparation was for the sole purpose of creating a unified group that makes people happy. And you'll be out of the book so you can see it in their faces!"
- Julie Ramsey, Alto

"My experience with Mixed Company has been enriching on so many levels. No joke, I have played some terrible gigs elsewhere so I'm not likely to sugar coat things.

I have been continually challenged to grow as a musician and performer by extremely professional and talented people. There have been so many golden moments when people have been very appreciative and deeply touched by our performances.

I have not only developed great industry connections but have gained great friends. Not to mention the pay is very attractive, its a lot of fun and it beats waiting tables any day." - Tracy Perry, Tenor

"Mixed Company has proven to be one of the most challenging and rewarding performing experiences of my life. I pulled my hair out during rehearsals my rookie year, the learning curve is steep!

But going out there and nailing those tight harmonies with three people who became lifelong friends makes it all worthwhile, and the looks on the faces of the folks while you're giving them a little holiday spirit really takes your mind off the price of Rogaine.

I look forward to Caroling season every year."
- Frank Romeo, Bass
